There are different packages to download, according to your needs:

• ScanNav software: Base of ScanNav software, mandatory whatever chosen options
• WXTide software: Necessary for the "Tidal Currents" option, but will also be handsome for the base module.
• MrSid extension: Necessary for support of aerial or satellite photos in MrSid format.

Several sites are proposed to download ScanNav. If you have problems with one of them, please try with another. If you still encounter problems, please contact us by mail specifying you have problems downloading , and we will send you the package by another mean.

New Version 6.0 is available!!

The version 6.0 is now available. We recommend that you download this version to benefit from the new enhancements. (these are not yet integrated in the documentation, but are described in the download page)

ScanNav software Version 5.5

1. Full installation: This is a standard installation package that creates the shortcuts, and makes an uninstall entry to uninstall ScanNav the Microsoft's way. To install you just have to execute the downloaded file and follow the instructions.
2. Full installation for floppies: This distribution is identical to the previous one, except that it is split in several files that can each fit on a floppy, giving it the advantage of being easily transferred between computers. Furthermore, the download takes place in 3 times, and if one download fails, you just have to re-download this one instead of the full package. You Need to do the following manipulations to install:
   • Downloaded files are auto-extractible archives that will auto decompress when exectuted. They are not ment to be copied directly on the floppies, you should instead execute them individually to uncompress each of them on a separate floppy.
   • Once file uncompressed to floppies, insert the first floppy and execute the "Setup.exe" program that is on it.
   • Then follow the instructions shown on the screen. The installation procedure will prompt you to insert the second, then the third and fourth floppies when needed.
   • You can also uncompress all downloaded files in a unique hard disk directory, and than execute the "Setup.exe" program. This makes less manipulations and is quicker as you don't have to go through floppy manipulations.
3. Upgrade: This is not a full installation, but a patch. It's only purpose is to limit the download time if you already have installed a previous version recently that would be compatible. It is not recommended if you are not an expert or can easily download the full version.

Warning: Before installing a new release of ScanNav, it is strongly recommended to uninstall any previous releases (except for the upgrade of course).

WXTide software

This software is necessary for the Tidal Currents module. It will also be useful for the base module that permits to query WXTide to show heights of the nearest stations to a point by clicking on the map. This is an adapted version, the original software is accessible at http://www.wxtide32.com

The software is packaged as a zip file. To install, unzip the file in an empty temporary folder and double-click on the "Setup.exe" file to begin installation. You then will have to launch WXTide at least once in standalone mode using the Windows "start" menu, so that it registers itself and that ScanNav knows where to find it. Once the installation is finished, you may remove the temporary unzipped files.

MrSid Extension

The MrSid extension is necessary for support of aerial or satellite photos in MrSid format

Download MrSidModule.zip and unzip the 3 included files (mrsidinfo.exe, mrsiddecode.exe, and IgnLambert.exe) in the installation directory of ScanNav (by default "C:\ScanNav").

ScanNav reserves itself the possibility of requiring a participation for this functionality. Therefore, support of MrSid format is protected by a specific license code. This license is however provided free for now. To obtain it, just make a request by mail, attaching the ScanNav.cfg file resulting from the "Register" formula.
